Estimates based on the official 2026-27 FLDOE requirements and 2025-26 per-credit rates at Florida public universities (FAS $212.71, FMS $159.53 per credit hour). At private Florida colleges the state pays a fixed comparable rate. Final eligibility is determined by the Florida Department of Education. Tests must be taken by August 31 of the graduation year.

Checked against the official 2026-27 FLDOE award chart

It checks your teen's SAT score, weighted GPA, and service hours against the official Florida Academic Scholars (FAS) and Florida Medallion Scholars (FMS) requirements for 2026-27. The thresholds come straight from the Florida Department of Education award chart, and we review them every cycle.

Dollar values are based on 2025-26 per-credit rates at Florida public universities. FAS pays 100% of tuition and applicable fees. FMS pays 75%. At private Florida colleges the state pays a fixed comparable rate instead, so the award does not grow at expensive schools.
