Taylor spent nearly a decade writing the SAT prep materials and practice exams other tutors teach from, so she knows how the test is built from the inside. She has coached students one-on-one and in classrooms, and she builds each student's plan around a careful diagnosis of where the points are going missing, so the work stays targeted instead of general. In her free time she volunteers teaching SAT prep to underserved students in New York City. B.F.A., Sam Houston State University.

Alex has spent twelve years in one-on-one test prep, working with hundreds of students on the SAT, ACT, and SSAT, and he has coached many of them to perfect scores. After finishing his Economics degree at Cornell he stayed for the FALCON program, one of the most demanding language programs in the country, and left certified in Mandarin at a level few non-native speakers reach. He knows firsthand what preparing for a brutal exam takes, and he designs every session around the specific test sitting in front of the student.

Karina breaks the SAT down like the engineer she trained to be: isolate the exact sub-topics costing a student points, fix them one at a time, retest. She has coached the SAT and ACT that way for seven years, in live classes and 1-on-1 sessions, and her families' reviews keep repeating the same words: patient, clear, hard things made simple. One recent student credited her with a 180-point jump. Brian has tutored test prep since 2019, across the ACT, SSAT, ISEE, and HSAT, with a specialty most tutors never build: students with ADHD, dyslexia, and autism, and the test anxiety that rides along with any high-stakes exam. Before tutoring he spent thirty years in college textbook publishing as a US history editor, twice named Editor of the Year, so he knows firsthand what college-level work demands. He teaches timing and test strategy, and he builds sessions where it is safe to get things wrong, because that is where the learning happens. B.A. in Philosophy, Boston University. He has been to all 50 states.

 

Caleb scored a perfect 1600 on the digital SAT and has coached students to perfect scores of their own. He graduated from UC Berkeley with a triple major in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Computer Science, and has spent eight years tutoring the SAT alongside AP Calculus, Physics, Chemistry, and Computer Science. Students get hard material made approachable, a plan fitted to how they actually learn, and study habits that outlast the test. He also speaks Mandarin.

 

Karen has tutored every section of the SAT and ACT since 2006. As Assistant Director at Huntington Learning Center she did not just teach the curriculum, she wrote it: full SAT and ACT lessons and original question sets, built from the ground up. She also brings deep experience with college applications and essays, so her students get help on both sides of the admissions equation. B.S., Bradley University.

 

Lesley spent thirty years as a professional school counselor across every grade from kindergarten to senior year, the last eight serving IB students and their families at Hillsborough and Robinson High School in Tampa. In 2023 she received the Yale Educator Award. She holds an M.A. in Guidance and Counseling and a B.A. in Elementary Education, both from the University of South Florida.
