Scholarship money tied to the SAT in Connecticut

Connecticut has no broad state scholarship that pays out automatically off an SAT cutoff; the state's main aid program, the Roberta B. Willis Scholarship, is primarily need-based (gated by a federal Student Aid Index cutoff), with a 1200 SAT or top-20%-class-rank threshold only as one eligibility screen into that need review, so score-tied money in Connecticut mostly comes from individual universities' own automatic merit grids.

Quick answers

What SAT score do you need for Trinity?

There is no published minimum; the middle half of the reported group scored 1350 to 1460. A score at or above 1460 puts a student in the top quarter of that group. A score near 1350 is within the range, and grades, coursework and the rest of the application still decide the outcome.

Is Trinity test-optional?

Yes. Trinity lists its policy as: Test-optional; only 9% of enrolled students submitted an SAT score. A score inside or above the range can still strengthen an application, and some scholarships and programs use scores separately.

What is Trinity's acceptance rate?

29.5% (fall 2025, 2,148 admitted of 7,273 applicants). Rates vary by program and residency, so read the overall figure as context, not a personal prediction.

Does a score above the range guarantee admission?

No. A middle 50% is a description of last year's group, not a cutoff in either direction. It tells you where a score is competitive, which is the useful part for planning test dates.
