Maryland has no statewide scholarship with an SAT cutoff. The Maryland Higher Education Commission's need-based grants (Guaranteed Access, Educational Assistance) are income-tested, not score-tied, and its legislative Senatorial/Delegate scholarships require that an applicant have taken the SAT or ACT but set no minimum score. The state's best-known score-connected money is the University of Maryland's competitive, holistic Banneker/Key Scholarship.
Banneker/Key Scholarship: Requires a 3.20 cumulative GPA each semester and 30 credits/year to keep it; selection is by committee review plus interview, not a score formula.
Senatorial and Delegate Scholarships: Need-based and awarded at each state senator's or delegate's discretion to residents of their district; renewable with continued eligibility.

Find my teen's target scoreThere is no published minimum; the middle half of the reported group scored 920 to 1230. A score at or above 1230 puts a student in the top quarter of that group. A score near 920 is within the range, and grades, coursework and the rest of the application still decide the outcome.

No. A middle 50% is a description of last year's group, not a cutoff in either direction. It tells you where a score is competitive, which is the useful part for planning test dates.
