Source: GW official admissions data. A middle 50% describes the central half of the reported group, not a cutoff.
GW's acceptance rate has tightened sharply in recent cycles; its test-optional policy (in place since 2015) is now confirmed directly on GW's own admissions site rather than inferred from historical reporting.

DC has no SAT-cutoff scholarship; its signature program, DCTAG, is a residency- and income-based tuition grant with no test-score requirement, so score-tied money in DC comes only from the individual universities, and even those grids are thin among the schools researched here.
DCTAG, public university rate: The gap between out-of-state and in-state tuition at any public university nationwide, for DC residents who meet the income and residency rules.
DCTAG, private HBCU / DC-region private nonprofit rate: A flat annual award toward tuition at a private HBCU anywhere, or a private nonprofit in the DC region, for DC residents who meet the income and residency rules.

Find my teen's target scoreThere is no published minimum; the middle half of the reported group scored 1310 to 1450. A score at or above 1450 puts a student in the top quarter of that group. A score near 1310 is within the range, and grades, coursework and the rest of the application still decide the outcome.
Yes. GW lists its policy as: Test-optional for the large majority of applicants, a policy GW has held since 2015; a short list of populations (e.g. certain home-schooled and international applicants) must still submit SAT/ACT scores, and GW superscores both tests when submitted. A score inside or above the range can still strengthen an application, and some scholarships and programs use scores separately.
47.1% (fall 2025, CDS 2025-26, 27,034 applicants). Rates vary by program and residency, so read the overall figure as context, not a personal prediction.
No. A middle 50% is a description of last year's group, not a cutoff in either direction. It tells you where a score is competitive, which is the useful part for planning test dates.
