Oklahoma runs a real statewide SAT/ACT-cutoff scholarship, the Oklahoma State Regents' Rising Scholars Award (for the state's top 0.5% of test-takers), and on top of that both OU and OSU publish their own university-level scholarship grids with explicit SAT/ACT score tiers.
Oklahoma State Regents' Rising Scholars Award (OSRHE, formerly Academic Scholars Program): A combination of a state-funded cash award (up to $24,000/yr at OSU) plus a tuition waiver, renewable with a 3.25+ GPA and full-time enrollment; students must be certified as Rising Scholars by the Oklahoma State Regents.
OSU Academic Excellence Award (in-state, university-funded grid): A sliding cash award, e.g. $3,000/yr for a 32-36 ACT (or 1420-1600 SAT) with a 3.5+ GPA, down to $1,000/yr for GPA-only qualification with no test score; cannot be combined with other OSU university-assured scholarships.

Find my teen's target scoreThere is no published minimum; the middle half of the reported group scored 1160 to 1310. A score at or above 1310 puts a student in the top quarter of that group. A score near 1160 is within the range, and grades, coursework and the rest of the application still decide the outcome.
Yes. OU lists its policy as: Test-optional (students choose whether scores are considered for admission and scholarships). A score inside or above the range can still strengthen an application, and some scholarships and programs use scores separately.
77.6% (fall 2025 2025-26 CDS, 29,195 applicants). Rates vary by program and residency, so read the overall figure as context, not a personal prediction.
No. A middle 50% is a description of last year's group, not a cutoff in either direction. It tells you where a score is competitive, which is the useful part for planning test dates.
