Who is Florida Test Prep?

I'm Carson, and I founded Florida Test Prep. I grew up in Tampa with no college fund, and my first SAT was a 1050. So I built a system for myself. By senior year I scored a 1430, and that number earned me $30,000 in Bright Futures, a spot in FSU Honors, and a very selective Presidential Scholarship. $81,000 in scholarships total, off one test.

A couple of years after I graduated I started tutoring on the side, and that turned into this company. We only work with Florida families, on purpose. Is this just a sales call?
It is a real working session, and yes, at the end we will tell you what our program costs if it looks like a fit. The plan itself is yours regardless. Plenty of families take the target score and the timeline and go do it themselves, and that is a fine outcome. What we will not do is spend 45 minutes pitching you instead of looking at your teen's actual numbers.
What does the program cost, if we did want it?
It depends on how much 1-on-1 time your teen needs and how long we have before test day. Group-heavy plans sit at the lower end, heavy private coaching at the upper end. We give you the exact number on the call, with no pressure to decide on it, and you can weigh it against a Bright Futures award worth up to $30,000.
Who should be on the call?
You, your teen, and anyone else involved in the college decision. The plan is built around your student, so it is far more useful when they are in the room and can answer questions about their schedule and where they struggle.
What if my teen is only in 10th grade?
That is a good time to be having this conversation. Tenth grade is when a baseline diagnostic and a Bright Futures GPA check are most useful, and starting then leaves room for multiple test dates. We will tell you honestly if it is too early to start prep.
What do I need to have ready?
Their most recent SAT, PSAT or ACT score if they have one, their graduation year, and a rough sense of which Florida schools are on the list. That is enough for us to build the plan.
